Update
I am struggling but maintaining. I currently weight 175 and am now under 30 for my BMI (29.9). :) Hey sounds good to me!!! My locs are now 8 months old and have grown 4 inches. They are really starting to mature and draw up so the actual length cannot be seen unless wet or stretched via styling. I am having a hard time keeping up with my clean eating and weightloss due to monetary setbacks, school and work. Time is not working with me right now lol. I am still proud of my accomplishments and am trying to introduce some REAL exercise. I am trying to successfully incorporate the P90X workout routine. Again, time is not working with me, however I am still working out more than usual, so that is good. I don't have much to say in this Blog because of TIME but I will update again soon. God bless

Progress report
Well, here I go. I don't really like telling my weight but here it is lol.
When I started on my weight loss journey I was 210 (my heaviest since the birth of my daughter) with an estimated BMI of 35.8. At my height I should be between 18.5 and 24.9. So you see I had a ways to go. My ultimate weight loss goal was to loose at least 50 pounds with 10 pound milestones. To get to the recommended BMI, however, I should, at most, weigh 140lbs....which would be a 70 pound weight loss.
Well, right now I am at 185 (my heaviest weight from before I got pregnant with my daughter) with an estimated BMI of 31.6. With a 25 pound weight loss, I went down 4.2 points. I'll celebrate it!!! LOL As long as I continue to burn at least 1000 calories more than I intake each day, then I will continue to loose weight at a steady rate. I am continuing on my clean eating, but have fallen short a few times now that I am working. BUT, I will now have to buckle down and do more planning and stick to my plans. Also, I am still struggling with the water thing. I pretty much drink nothing but my green juice in the morning and water throughout the day, so that is good. I just have to make sure that I am drinking ENOUGH water. So there you have it, my progress report. We'll see where I am come this time next month.
Also, before I go, my mother and I plan on doing another cleanse to start off the New Year. She is going to fast and pray for a few days before and I might do the same. So, if there be any plateaus, the cleanse should jump start our systems.

Super Green
Two things...I've been on this green smoothie/juice kick. I love it and I really believe it has played a major roll in my having lost the 7 additional pounds since my cleanse last month. I've become so serious about it that I've purchased a VitaMix machine and am sooooo happy with the results so far. That is the smoothie mix in the VitaMix in the fourth picture below. I also purchased some algae powders and barley grass powder to put into my smoothies for extra potency and vitamin intake. I don't take daily vitamins so I need to make sure that I get all I need from the food I eat. So update, I've lost 19 pounds. I don't have a tape measure so I don't know about my inches. LOL OOOOHHH, the second thing!!! :-D I got new shoes! YAAAAYYY and I'm so in love. HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! One pair of heals and my first real pair of boots (by real I mean a pair I will actually wear on a regular basis and that are casual sheek). I am over the moon right now. Well, that's all for now. God bless and *smooches

17 pounds lighter and on my way
It is now November 1, 2010. Many months from my last blog post, but oh well, I'm new at this. I am now 4 months sisterlocked, 17 pounds lighter, and really working on that relationship with God.
Well, my mother and I elected to do the Master Cleanse (Lemonaide Diet) about 3 weeks ago. I lost 12 pounds while doing the cleanse and my mother lost 10 I believe. Afterward we both were not only able to maintain but continue to loose. By completely revamping our eating habits, we have not only lost weight, but we've truly realized how food can either positively or negatively effect your body and energy level. We are definitely eating more vegetables and green leafy ones at that. By experimentation and patience we are finding new and tasty ways to dress up a salad without adding a billion calories to it. Also, we don't deny ourselves anything. We still eat sugar, butter, and fats...the only difference is we now eat them in moderation. Portion control is the key. I do most of the cooking, so I make sure that I only make enough...no room for temptations for second helpings. LOL NOW, it's all about incorporating exercise into our daily lives successfully.

Baby
So my bestfriend is having her FIRST baby and I am moving. I will not be around to see her grow and see the baby born. I am soo sad. But, I gotta go. I love her and will only be a call away. Maybe I'll buy a plane ticket in advance...maybe for two weeks after the due date. Hey that's an idea! Thanks blog!!! LOL
Who Am I
I love God and want a more substantial relationship with Him, but yet fall short. I can sometimes be harsh with sarcasm but I mean the best. I am the one that means well but may not always be seen as such. I often suffer from laziness and procrastination but you won't catch me without a job and just sittin around. I except criticism but watch your delivery. I mask a lot of emotions with laughter but am not too proud to admit my trials and shortcomings. I love people and value their feelings but I do not allow them to hinder me and my decision making: what must be done, must be done. I thrive in change and often long for it, never to be afraid. My eyes are closed, my heart slightly ajar, and my mind...doors off the hinges. LOL
Just a little insight into Me...just if you wanted to know.
